The primary goal of Seatuck’s education program is, simply, to expose people to the diversity, beauty and wonder of Long Island’s natural world. Authentic outdoor experiences are the foundation upon which people develop their own connection to the environment and concern for its conservation. Our programs also seek to foster a greater appreciation and understanding of Long Island wildlife and ecological systems in support of long-term conservation of the environment.
We offer public programs for pre-school children, students, adults and families. We offer trainings for teachers and other professionals, including the Greentree Teachers' Ecology Workshop. And we offer private programs for schools, early childcare providers, scouts, businesses, senior centers and a wide variety of other entities. In the end, we will conserve only what we love.
We will love only what we understand.
We will understand only what we are taught.
