Let your child explore the wonders of nature through these week-long summer programs at the 200-acre South Shore Nature Center. We’ll get them outside, get their hands dirty and help them develop their own connection to the natural world!
For students entering Kindergarten through 7th grade. Students are grouped by age, which may vary slightly from week to week depending on enrollment.
Programs run Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
4 one-week sessions:
• July 5-8
• July 11-15
• July 18-22
• July 25-29
• Fee: $250/week
• Instructors and teacher/student ratio: Each group will have one instructor and one aide. Instructors are either certified teachers and/or experienced naturalists and are at least 21 years of age. Aides are high school or college students at least 16 years old. Our teacher/student ratio is at least 1:8. There is one instructor and one aide for every group of 16 students.
• Program sessions cannot be "split", but participants are welcome and encouraged to join us for multiple weeks - every week is different and every day in nature brings a new adventure!
• 2016 Program Leaders: The program is overseen by Seatuck's education director, Peter Walsh; lead instructors are Amanda Johnson and Carolyn Flynn
